Hi all,

I'll be graduating this May from Georgia Tech with a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering with a structural focus. I'm still waiting to hear back from graduate schools, and in the mean time I've been applying for full time jobs (just in case).

I've become worried though because nobody has offered me so much as an interview yet. I've been applying for entry level civil and structural engineering positions all over the country and the only thing I can think to why I'm not getting any calls is because my lack of experience.

Firstly, a lot of structural engineering positions seem to want a Master's degree, though most only list it as a preferred qualification. Next, I have zero internship experience. I've done a lot of networking with firms in Atlanta and I have two years of undergraduate research experience to make up for that (somewhat), but I know how valuable internships are to companies. I have a 2.95 GPA which I do not list on my resume, as that seemed to be my downfall in trying to secure a summer internship in the first place.

Is there anything I can do this late in the game to get my phone ringing with interview and job offers?

Any advice helps,

Thanks!
