Hey guys, just wondering if you could help me with this situation. So basically I have the option of graduating from the University of Michigan in three years or graduating from Michigan State in two years. (Note, I'm probably not going to go straight to law school; I want to do something like Teach for America first). The pros of graduating from MSU in two years would be financial (although I won't have to take out loans either way), possibly a slightly higher GPA due to relatively easier course work/less requirements, and faster advancement to my career. The pros of UMich would be more prestige, a more authentic "college experience," and less credit hours per semester (15v18). Right now I'm very ambivalent and would appreciate any opinions on where I should go with this. Thanks guys

First of all, what are you majoring in?

If you’re thinking about going to law school- are you looking at JMC or something else at MSU? If you’re looking at JMC that program is “more prestigious” than the polisci department at U of M.

Really, you want to go to whichever school is a better fit for you. No use in spending 2 or 3 years at either school if it’s not where you want to be.
