graduating Mendoza in 3 years

I have 45 credits, and i will be using all of them because noen of them are business ones that relate to my major. Some I will use for specific requirements (math, hsitory, science), but mendoza has like 15 "free elective" credits to be filled and i think like 20 non-business electives to be filled. So my credits will pretty much take care of all of those. after my freshman year, All I really will need are my business classes to graduate, which I think I can complete in 2 years.

For my 4th year I want to enter to the 1 year MBA program which starts in summer school and goes through both semesters of my 4th year. Is this possible, do you think this is a good idea? I would basically be getting my MBA for the same price of 4 years of tutition (plus like 15,000 for the summer or whatever it is).

Also, if i did this, could i still live in my dorm and participate in clubs, inter-hall football, etc. as if it was just my 4th year of undergrad...?

One thing to keep in mind is that it is very hard to get into any MBA program straight out of undergrad so just know that doing this may be a challenge. That being said, if you start graduate school, they will have you leave the dorm either for off-campus housing or will have you go to the graduate residences. I had a friend who started his masters in accounting a semester early and even then had to leave the dorms. You probably still could participate in dorm athletics, but you wouldn't be allowed to live there. Sorry :(.

well, i hope i could still do inter-hall football! yeah, I realize i would have to have an amazing gpa to get in straight from undergrad--it's probably not going to happen--i'm just exploring all my possibilities!

jvon, 45 credits? you are a beast

Credit-wise I think it would be possible, however, I think the problem with being a business major is that you have to take the classes in sequence and they set up your schedule so that there isn't much flexibility. It might still be possible, but you should definitely check with your advisor right away.

yeah, maggie, i was surprised that that ND accepts so many 4's... i got a 4 on calc bc which means i was all right but didn't "master" the material--that gave me 8 hours!??? i'm still surprised but very happy because i enver have to take math again! also, i took SAT II: spanish for the hell about a month ago because i noticed you could get credit with a VERY low score... so even though i'm TERRIBLE at spanish i managed a 490--don't laugh at me because it got me 6 credits! what a joke! lol i think the cutoff was 470, it's so awesome...

one thing that bugs the **** outta of me though... a 5 in ap bio gives you 8 credits and a 5 in chem gives you only 4! i could've taken either one my senior year, but i took chem and got a 5 on that one--kinda upset but i'm not complaining lol

i just checked and it said a 5 on chem gives you 8 credits. haha i was gonna take the spanish sat II cuz i prob would've done just as bad but i wanted to take irish anyway so i figured why embarrass myself. i took calc ab this year and i hoped to at least knock out a math class since im not a fan of it, but according to my transfer credits on inside nd it looks like i couldn't even manage a 3, haha

haha... well i'm almost positive it says chem is 4 in the academic guide book... where did you check it? because i think they might have changed it...

that's really weird... online it says chem gets you 8 hours, but in the academic guide book the chart shows that a 5 on chem gets you only 4 hours... they must have changed it :(

hmm well hopefully the online one is the real one, u might have more credits than you think
