graduating on time vs graduating late

I hate school, but the typical "school is not for me" excuse doesn't make it okay for me to drop out. These days you NEED a decent degree. During my first two years of school I took 5 or 4 classes per semester but by the end of each semester I would have dropped one or two. I had a 3.0, the lowest my GPA has ever been, that Fall. I was advised by my counselor to take only two classes this Spring in order to pull myself together and take some time off. I worked and went to school, I took online classes and found them easier because you didn't have to concentrate on someone rambling for a whole hour.

I'm 20 now and I graduated high school in 2012. I have 32 credits and I'm starting my 3rd year of school this Fall. I order for me to graduate on time with my class I'd have to take 5 classes a semester on top of taking 3 classes in the summer and 4 classes this summer. If I decide to graduate a year late I get to take only 4 classes a semester and 3 in the summer and 2 classes this summer. I'm doing finance but math can be a pain sometimes, so I'd rather do the latter.

Pros of graduating a yr late/cons of graduating on time:
-I can have time for internships while working at my part time job if I'm staying in school one more year because I'll have the time with only 4 classes.
-I get more time to save to pay back my loan.
-I can get more on my resume
-I can get better grades

Cons of graduating a year late /Pros of graduating on time:
- I don't get to graduate with people from my year (doesn't apply because I really don't care)
-I could have been making real money with a real job already. (also doesn't apply because no one seems to be having any luck finding good jobs right out of college anyway)

I don’t understand what the question is. You seem to have already ruled out the reasons against graduating a year later, so it seems like you’ve already made your decision. The main reason for graduating earlier rather than later is financial. If you can afford it, then by all means, graduate whenever you want.

I wanted to read everyone’s opinions. I’m not paying for school (yet), I get aid. Either way (if I say one more year or not) its the same price.
