Graduating Summa Cum Laude out of CALS

<p>I read here:</p>

<p>that you need a 4.0 or higher to graduate summa cum laude. How do you get higher than a 4.0, are some classes weighted? Other then that, it appears to me as if it is basically impossible to graduate summa cum laude then...</p>

<p>on another note, do employers care about these honors or do they just look at your GPA holistically</p>

<p>A+ is 4.3. There are definitely students with >4.0, but it definitely is not easy. I also doubt latin honors matter because not all colleges at cornell even offer them, and the requirements are different among the colleges that do. GPA is much more important. I think CALS latin honors are a joke anyways because there are no requirements outside of GPA.</p>
