I know that the top 15% of undergraduates at Stanford (based on cumulative GPA) graduate "with distinction." However, does anyone know what approximate GPA is usually sufficient for this honor? Obviously, the exact GPA will differ from year to year, but I am curious about the typical cut-off.

I'm curious to know this, too. Does anybody know?

idk, i really want to find out as well.

oh and one more thing.
Is the highest GPA a 4.0 or 4.3???
can u take relatively easy courses and still graduate with distinction as long as you maintain a top 15 % GPA?
thank you people!!

In general, do titles such as "with distinction" or "with honors" really help in job applications? Do companies scrutinize one's college GPA? Thanks.
