Graduation - How many days?

My D will be graduating in the spring. Yay! We are so proud.

Anyway, when checking the ND calendar, it lists graduation as Friday, Saturday and Sunday. How should I plan?

^^^This can provide you with some info–note that the schedule is for 2012. As I recall, you can somewhat pick and choose events to attend. ND will be timely with getting the info for 2013, but maybe this site can offer you some help.

Thanks so much.

My son is graduating this spring as well. Can you believe how fast time has flown by?! There is a mass on Saturday - late afternoon and commencement first thing Sunday morning followed by ceremonies from the individual colleges afterwards. Sounds like we won’t be done until 4pm!

Please consider booking your accomodations now - if you need them. I booked weeks ago because I need large suites. The four “nice” hotels nearby are already full.

My husband got so excited he has reservations for Th, F, S & Sunday nights. Thank goodness all of the reservations are refundable/changeable. We don’t want to miss a thing, but there is such thing as work. Also, my daughter’s twin brother’s graduation is that very week. Not to mention her younger sister’s HS graduation is just a few weeks after that. I am thinking of arriving F early afternoon and staying through to Sunday afternoon/evening.

You will want to get there on Friday and stay through Sunday, minimum! Daughter graduated in 2011 and we couldn’t get enough of it! She was a pre-prof. (med school) and music major, so she had her Graduation concert on Friday night. Then we put together a big party at her apartment for all her friends and families that night-total fun! Saturday keeps you busy with college receptions, honors assemblies and then, of course, the Mass- not to be missed. Graduation is Sunday morning with smaller “graduations” following it. All in all a very busy, but memorable weekend! Don’t miss it. Get there early! Congratulations!
