<p>Just want to put in a good word for one of the most fun graduation parties I've been to. At SMC, the graduates can put in for a 'space on the lawn' for post ceremony parties. Some people have potluck, others hire caterers and dj's. </p>
<p>It was so nice to not have to battle the traffic of tons of people leaving the ceremony at the same time. We just walked over to the specified spot and had a fun picnic, met lots of S's friends and got to know some of the parents. By the time we were ready to leave, there was zero graduation traffic on campus. </p>
<p>I'm going to try to do a similar picnic when D graduates from a different school.</p>
