anyone speaking at their high school graduations? how are your speakers picked?

we have 4 senior speakers where you go thru an essay-committee reading process, then an interview, then a "final production" where u present ur essay aloud.

i wanna speak at my graduation =D topic undecided

They do the top 5 people in the class. I wish it were otherwise, because outside of about two people, no one in the top 5 has good public speaking skills. I really, really want to do it, but alas...

Good luck coming up with a good, riveting, non-cliche speech. Y'all can do it! Graduation's in about four months for us here...wow...

i think i might speak.
its a kid vote and popularity vote, and in the last 3 years, it has been the NHS prez (ahem, me :D ) im not calie so idk whats going on, but last years we had

NHS Prez
Elected Teacher
Principal
Some popular kid with a bad haircut and bottom 50% of the class.

I just wanted to put it out there...it is a good article and seems to take a balanced look. Mind you, if Iraq turns out to be a huge blunder, I'll definitely "concede defeat"...it just helps to view both sides thoughtfully.
