Gramercy Green..... any reviews/opinions??

I was just placed there and would like to hear anyones experiences in this dorm?? Any tips i should know?

anybody? I’ve looked up as much info as I could…apparently the elevators take a while but i want to hear experiences living there… any info would be great!

Check the Facebook group yet? Most of the RAs are on there answering questions.

Hey Sassy,

Congratulations, I’ve heard nothing but good things about Gramercy. It seems like it’s pretty much everyone’s first choice in housing. Community seems friendly and they seem to always have the highest Hall Council participation rate.

I haven’t seen the inside myself, but I saw this review video a while back:

When I had questions about housing, I found the NYU Local Housing Guide website very helpful. Here is the review for Gramercy Green:

Hope this helps!

yes i have looked up anything the internet offers…just looking for more personal experiences? and i was also offered a single bedroom in alumni hall is that an offer i should look into? any opinion would be appreciated!

I lived there last semester, but it was also my first semester at NYU so I don’t really have much to compare it to. I lived in a 2 bedroom suite, 2 people in each bedroom. It is pretty far from school 1.2 miles to be exact. It was really a small unit, but also very nice. One of the rooms was quite a bit larger with a nice walk in closet, but the room I was in was very small with one small closet, and I had a closet outside of the room in the common area. A couples things that are really nice are that there is a gym inside the building, and there are also individual and group study rooms that are in the basement, those are extremely nice! The elevators take a while, but it really isn’t a big deal, just have to leave extra early for class. I always walked the mile to school, which took about 25-30 minutes, the bus is always late, and there were a few times that it got so packed that they wouldn’t let anyone else on, but it is okay as long as you budget your time or whatever.

Honestly, I would probably take the single, but I guess it depends on how much you like your privacy. Our room was so small that I felt like we were sometimes living on top of each other. There also wasn’t much of a common room. There were always events going on that they were inviting you too, broadway shows, and lots of free food opportunities. I didn’t really get that involved, but there are tons of opportunities to take advantage of. Overall it was a nice experience. Do you have any specific questions? I have pictures too, if you are interested

pictures would be great!! can you post them on here or do you need my email?

message me your email, and I can send them there :)
