Grammar ! one more time

i think that this question has got an error but the PR 11 practice tests claims that it doesn't so can anybody tell me whether im wrong or right?

Not one of the doctors who is treating my sister knows exactly what is wrong with her .

i believe that it should be :
Not one of the doctors who are treating my sisters knows exactly what is wrong with her.
( because there is a 'who' whatever is before is determines whether the verb should be singular or plural - thats what i think so please correct me if im wrong)
thanx :)

But isn't the subject of the sentence "one" (singular), rather than "doctors," which is the object of the preposition "of"?

Fajas,
Not one of the doctors who is treating my sister knows exactly what is wrong with her .

look at it this way:

The 'hidden' subject is ONE. I see why you think it's ARE, and I will explain. Look:
"One ARE cool." WRONG
"One is cool." CORRECT
Understand?

The reason why you think it's are is if it were "Not ANY of the doctors who ARE treating my sister knows exactly what is wrong with her"
Therefore, the hidden subject is 'any'.

now look:

"Any ARE cool." CORRECT
"Any is cool." WRONG

let me know if you need further help

doctors can't be the subject because it is the object of the preposition

ahha i get it now :)
i've been looking at it in a different way thanx guys
