<p>I would like the know the answer to this also. My instinct tells me that it's OK.</p>
<p>I believe that if you want to do that, this structure is generally preferred:</p>
<p>independent clause ; independent clause , conjunctive adverb independent clause.</p>
<p>Can anyone else explain the reason why? I'm having difficulty putting it into words at the moment.</p>
