Grammar Tips?

I read through Kaplan's SAT II Writing & thought I was doing relatively well (missed 4, 3, 4 on the last 3 collegeboard practice tests). But on my results today I realized I missed nine.

So, kinda nervous and kinda frustrated. What good books/practice/etc help prepare you for the grammar?

I took the old SAT's and the old SAT II writing...
I studied Barron's.

Pretty much question everything. Usually there's something wrong.

Good Luck

Hey I'm new here and I would recommend that you study Barron's SAT II Writing. Barron books usually have less errors than the others. Kaplan books are usually full of errors so I would double check my answers if I were you.

I'm currently taking a SAT class and we are using this old book called "Correct Writing" by Eugenia W. Butler. You should check that book out because it possibly the best grammer book ever made. I believe it is out of print right now but you can buy it on half.com or check it out at your local library.

I got a 770 Writing (10 on the essay, missed 2 MC questions and got the rest correct)...

All I did was run through a few of the strategies in Princeton Review's book then practice like crazy from Collegeboard's book. I really do believe that the key to writing is simply practice. Do every writing section from every test in the blue Collegeboard book and you'll get in the 700's definitely.
