Grammatical Error in Essay? Will it blow my chances?

I just submitted my UC application a few hours ago.

Then I realized something, somehow the word the did not get copied and pasted into one of my sentences. So now one of my sentences reads, "I nearly fell asleep on computer" and not, "I nearly fell asleep on the computer."

Should I be worried about this? Will this just blow all chances I have for admission?

...relax. it won't.

Looks like you are off to a community college! :(

No, chill. You will be fine!

Relax. There are students who made grammatical mistakes in their essays and got into the ivies.

I doubt they'll even notice. I don't think one typo (in any part of the app, even # of hours of ECs, achievements, etc.) makes any difference, as long as it's not offensive. It's when you have multiple typos that I'd start to worry.

i'm a stickler for grammar and spelling. If I noticed one such typo in an otherwise effective essay, which was part of a compelling overall application, I'd overlook it.

As long as you don't pull a "Public Relations"/ "Pubic relations" you should be good. Hell, even if you do it would make your essay funnier...

They probably won't even notice because they read through essays pretty fast.
