Has anyone here found success in Grammatix's guide to Sentence Completions? I mean score perfectly on the SCs and not study 3400 words.

I have just started using it yesterday, today I am going to start using some sets. I found that I am able to eliminate more easily, but I seem to still have some trouble on the ONE very last one that is usually the hardest. I think maybe with more practice using the Grammatix (and xitammarg's tips on some threads) I should be able to get it perfect.

Ofcourse, I agree with most that the best strategy is reading. I personally hate rote memorization, so any option farthest from that is great for me. I kind of find it all arbitrary. If anything, reading hard books will give you just the same familiarity with the hard words, and give you excellent context.

i have, but that's probably a given :)

Do u guys have a link for Gramatix's Guide Book? I heard of its effect in this board but i really dun know this book thx in advance

I see,

Well the thing is that English was not my first language, I started learning it at age 5-6. Since then I have always 'force-fed' myself English by taking the honors/AP courses so it will look up to the standard of my other classes. I almost always got a B, and can say right now, English is hard for me and just, doesn't come naturally. That's why the Grammatix method will work only so far for me. So what can i do? Memorization? I don't have time to read books right now.
