Can someone please share the tips Grammatix gives for the Critical Reading Section?

Basically don't read the passage.

okay..then how would answer the global questions?

by the time you read all of the " " questions, you should have a general idea of the main idea or tone.

glucose is right. don't read it like you are reading a novel. read it only when you are referring to specific citations mentioned in the questions. Also, no excellence can be acquired without constant practice. So, practice.

I didn't believe not reading it until just now. It really helps. It helps you not assume anything also, for me anyhow.

I'm not missing as many.

oo okay..thnx for the tips..and i also heard that it is possible to complete the sentence completion without memorizing a single word..how does he manage to do that?

i still don't understand how not reading the passage could help...it seems as if you would only succeed with sheer luck

please enlighten me glucose.

I have Grammatix. Used its method but didn't like it. I'm sticking with just plain reading and answering questions...

wht pattern is there on the SAT tests?

There is no pattern. For vocab I have seen a drastic improvement in my scores by studying 3500 barron's words. Everyday i refresh my brain w/ those words (do like 750 a day). It took me a month though (started early september) to learn all of em.. i am so happy now and dont have to worry about this. Barron's even has a High frequency word list etc. that shows the words that appear most on the test. They even provide the flash cards! i love barrons.

me too etti. Plain reading ftw

The author says: SAT tricks are ALWAYS the same, so JUST FOCUS ON THE TRICKS!

and he says if u look through some of the tests, youll realize most of the stuff is the same..but i dont even knw if that is believable

so..any other tips from Grammatix?

yeah there is: always take a dump before you leave your house

^^^^^^

huh?
