Grant and scholarship aid reported to the IRS

FAFSA mentions: Student grant and scholarship aid reported to the IRS in your adjusted gross income. Includes AmeriCorps benefits (awards, living allowances, and interest accrual payments), as well as grant and scholarship portions of fellowships and assistantships.

This would mean that I would type in the financial aid I received from the 2012-2013 school year, am I correct? I don’t have my own tax return so would this even apply to me since I don’t report anything to the IRS? My FAFSA is solely based on my parents’ tax returns.
