grants?

does WashU give out alot of grants?

my parents efc is around 45k so that means ill only get 5k need from the school, and im realistically thinking that im not going to get any of those full or half tuition scholarships that are so hard to get.

so my only thing left is grants, plz help

Grants are part of need based aid.

WashU’s aid is almost entirely need-based. You can apply for the merit scholarships, but they are VERY competitive.

They may cover more than your estimated need (I got about something around $5000 more than my FAFSA indicated I needed), but this probably won’t be as much as you are looking for. I would definitely try out the merit scholarships (it can’t really hurt to try, even if you think you might not win), and go for other scholarships (use a website like fastweb or one of many similar sites to find scholarships, and apply for any and all that apply to you, especially if they aren’t too much work, because nobody wants to spend all their time on applications/scholarships, no matter how much it may benefit them).

Does anybody know when the applications for the scholarships comes out?

The website says that information will be posted later in the summer, but who knows when that will happen.

I’m not sure. I got a notification in the mail that I’d be receiving the applications in the mail in a couple of weeks.
