are there any colleges that offer a major that kind of combines graphic design and computer animation.

Yes, but it would help to know more about location, your stats, size of school and whether you’re interested in an art school or university to narrow it down.

oh sorry, that would help. I live in New Jersey and my SAT was 1540. I would prefer to go to a university since i tend to like their curriculum a bit better but art schools would be good too.

thenormx, there are a number of programs that have Interactive media training. Specifically, check out:

University of Cincinnati’s Digital Design major in the school of Design, Art, Architecture and Planning.

Check out RIT (Rochester Institute of Technology) New Media Major.

Both New Media and Digital Design are a combination of graphic design, motion and interactive graphics, especially in web design.

You can always go to schools that have both animation and graphic design and take courses such as as Ringling, Parsons, SVA etc.

Champlain College in Burlington, Vermont:

thank you very much

Have you looked closely at the interactive multimedia major at TCNJ? It may not be exactly what you are looking for but if you can piece together close to what you are looking for at an in-state tuition rate, it might be worth considering…

Friend’s son is at Champlain in Vt. Loves the program.

Champlain…gorgeous, beautiful area. I know of two people who love it at Champlain College.

Good luck to you, and pats on the back for being interested in something interesting! :)
