We are considering visiting, specifically for Graphic Design. In State school for us. The program is ranked everywhere I look, but when I go to their website, it only says “certificate” and a definite Masters program. Do they have a BFA?BA in Graphic Design? or do you major in something else, then do the masters program. What is the purpose of the certificate?
You get a BFA in Studio Art with a concentration in Graphic Design. The certificate is for people who already have a college degree but need training in Graphic Design.
Also look at VCU, it has the number two Art School in the country and has an outstanding Graphic Design program. The in-state tuition is hard to beat for such a prestigious school.
sbgal is spot on. My D is a GD major at VCUARTS and loves it.
