Can anyone share information about the Graphic Design program at Alabama? DS was accepted there but I’m not sure if it’s worth the OOS tuition for the BFA degree. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
Honestly, I’ve never heard of a graphic design major at UA. Are you sure about that?

Yes, it’s a BFA in Studio Art with a concentration in Graphic Design/Digital Media. It’s in the Dept. of Art and Art History.

I’m sure it’s a fine program; whether or not it’s worth the cost of OOS tuition is something probably only you can answer. Did your son receive any merit scholarships that would help offset the cost?
I know art school, in general, is expensive - are any of your in-state publics an option? We happen to have an excellent one here in PA at Temple University (although it’s not an easy admit).
Have you visited UA? I’d probably wait to see what all the options are and which are affordable and if UA still fits that criteria, plan a visit.
