graphing cal

i'm planning on majoring in some kind of science, or maybe business... maybe, not too sure.

some ppl have already mentioned that graphing cal may be useless for science majors cuz they're not allowed for prelims and finals. but would it still be good idea to bring up my graphing cal. like does any math/science classes need a graphing cal to do prob or work, or would a scientific be sufficient for all of the science/math/business course? i mean, if graphing cal aren't allowed in math/science classes, i don't want to bring mine up just to get used to depend on it for hw and classwork only to struggle thru the finals and prelims (which really count) cuz i'm not used to work on prob w/out a graphing cal.

It really depends on the class and the professor who's teaching. Just bring your graphing calc, and you'll find out at the begining of the semester if they are allowed during prelims (if the prof doesn't address it, just ask). If graphing calcs aren't allowed, you can always buy a scientific calc at the Cornell Store and use it during the semester to get comfortable with it. Don't stress.
