Graphing calculator for SAT Subject Test Mathematics II

Hi. Do i really need a graphing calculator for SAT Subject Test Mathematics II? Is it possible to nail it with a scientific calculator? Which one did You use? Thanks for every answer. ;)

I used a graphing calculator and used its special functions A LOT (I got a 790). You certainly don’t HAVE to, but I found it helpful. If you know how to use one and you can get one for the test, I would recommend it. However, if you’re skilled at using a scientific calculator, you won’t be at a disadvantage - there are kids who take it without a calculator, too (don’t know how they do it, but it happens).

I taking M2 in November with a regular scietific calc. I do have some experience with topics like calculus so I can sometimes find alternate ways to solve questions that most students would use a graphing calc to solve. It’s probably a lot slower and puts me at a disadvantage but there’s not much I can do about it right now. Either way, the worst case scenario is that I’d have to skip a question (two at worst) and use slower/longer methods on some others, which is manageable.

Thanks. I think I will use a graphing calculator. :)
