Any current students can chime in on this question? Do professors generally let the kids use the TI 89 on tests?

For what classes are you interested in? It is definitely a no in precalc. I think it is also a no in Trig. I don’t recall about Stats.

Update, no calculators of any kind on tests in precalc and trig. Graphing calulators useful for homework.

Yeah, will be taking Trig in the Fall. Majoring in Exercise Science so I will take some math classes.

If you can’t use a graphing calculator at all on tests, would you say to get the 89 anyways?(Let’s put money aside here)

Even if you can’t use it on tests, I would get it just to use on homework and lon capa.
I used my TI89 in stat (sta2023) with no problems.

I couldnt use my calculator for calc
