GRE: if I cancel no later than 3 days before the test

... will it show up on my report (that I cancelled it)?

What about if I cancel it on test day itself, after the test?

For some reason I haven't been able to find information at ETS answering these questions during my 2 minute search on their site, so if someone could provide a link to that info you will be rewarded with cheese and marmalade!

It’s stated on the GRE test itself that if you cancel the results, then your result won’t show up anywhere. However, if you did the test i.e. didn’t cancel before taking it, then you’re not allowed to take the test again during the same calendar month (I assume they change the questions once per calendar month).

This is also true for the subject tests, which you can cancel by crossing a box after the exam is over and your attempt will not be recorded anywhere.

When you say my “result won’t show up anywhere”, you mean the result being that I “cancelled” it (I’m not talking about the score itself, especially since I won’t have a score, assuming that we’re talking about cancelling no later than 3 full days before the test), correct? Also, could you provide a link to a reputable online source for this claim?

Bumpilicious!

There is no record of you ever taking or registering for the test. A google search for “gre cancel score” reveals this:

[GRE HQ: When Should You Cancel Your GRE Scores?](http://www.grehq.com/grad-school-admissions/when-should-you-cancel-your-gre-scores.html)

Unfortunately, I don’t have time to search for direct link to ETS’s policies.
