I was just wondering, when should I start studying for GRE? I'm in my third year in engineering now. I have no clue how hard it is. I wan't to get a perfect score in quantitative section. When should I start studying? Btw, should I also start studying for the verbal? I used to memorize a lot of vocab for SAT, I don't know if it's the same with GRE.

I don't know when should I give it a shot. Also, all scores are sent so I don't want to take it too early and screw up...

The quantitative section is all just high school math, not even calculus, so I wouldn’t worry about it overly much. Just take some practice tests to get familiar with the format and the timing and you should be fine. :)

I did well on the verbal but I didn’t study other than just taking the practice tests to get familiar with the format. If you have time you can take one to get a baseline of where you are now and see how much studying is warranted.
