<p>I took the GRE today. I am surprised by the quant score. On the Powerprep, I got:
610 V / 680 Q
600 V / 730 Q</p>
<p>On the real thing, I got
650 V / 630 Q</p>
<p>I'm shocked. I took the Quant research section and am wondering, this didn't impact my score at all did it?</p>
<p>Has anyone else had such a large drop from the Powerprep to actual Quant score?</p>
<p>My thought is that you probably missed an early question. They have a disproportionate effect on your score. </p>
<p>If you are applying for a Dec deadline and can afford to take it again, I would. (Unless you know that your score is high enough for the program). You’re clearly capable of getting a higher Q score since you did well on the Powerprep. You can do a math study book in the month wait-time and shoot for even higher.</p>
