There's just no way I'm gonna memorize 3000 or so words for a test just to end up with one or two show up the actual test day. I try to learn and memorize new words I come across when reading books and other stuff.

Instead I think that focusing on Latin Roots and all that similar stuff is so much more beneficial. Anyone know where I can get a good book with lists and rules for this stuff? I had an awesome list in one of the SAT or ACT prep books that I used long ago but god knows which one.

wait till August 2011 and take the new version. No more roots, pre-fixes. [GRE General Test: Revisions to the Computer-based GRE General Test](http://www.ets.org/gre/general/prepare/sample_questions/revisions/)

I already took the current version and did mediocre on the verbal. So, I’m just going to wait till Aug take re-take it, just so I can say I took both.
