GRE Writing question..

Hello everyone, first of all, I thank all of you for helping me properly assess my current GRE status...

I am planning to pursue the financial engineering program (/financial mathematics) and the average GRE scores of those schools that I have been looking for are around 1350 (570-600, 780-792) and 4-4.5

And my problem is on the writing section, I've recently taken the exam and got 620/800/3.5 and I am really beginning to be seriously worried with my poor writing score. Should I really retake the exam? For now, I was planning to take the GRE subject MATH instead of putting efforts on retaking the general test.

Please let me know anything that you can tell me. I again thank you all for the advice!

I don’t think the writing matters too much for engineering and math oriented programs. It’s very rubic adherent. Make sure your statement of purpose/essay is superb.

what is RUBIC adherent?

A mere typo. RUBRIC adherent, as in “adhering to a rubric.”
