Great non-ivy level schools for math/finance?

I'm currently a junior and I'm looking for a good college to double major in math and finance. My average is about 6/7 in the IB, which is like an A-, so I don't plan on applying to Ivy's, MIT, or Stanford. What other great colleges are there for math/finance? If possible, it would be nice to name some that are in NYC (my place of residence) :P

Well, NYU Stern is a pretty high-calibur school, especially for finance if you want to get into Wall Street and what not.

I can’t think of any others in New York, but some other good math/business schools are: U of Chicago, U of Michigan (Ross), UVA, Duke, etc.

Stern is the only other one that I can think of, Ross and Tepper as well…None of the Ivy’s and Stanford offer Finance as a major. Only Penn does, but that school is hard to get into.

Many of the schools that offer a Business major will also cover math and finance, such as Chapman University’s School of Business and Economics, and their College of Science and Technology. However, Chapman is in the West Coast.

Fordham’s Gabelli School is supposed to be good, and Pace has some strong business programs. You might qualify for Pace’s Pforzheimer Honors College.

I second UVA, our program is called McIntire and it seems to be very competitive, a lot of ambitious people over there.
I know that Boston College has a good B-school program, as does Georgetown(DC).

I’m going to recommend NYU again.

NYU CAS is excellent in math, especially applied mathematics.

NYU Stern is excellent in finance.

Michigan is excellent in both areas…of course.

Wisconsin, Indiana, Purdue, Notre Dame. Of course.
