So I got the suggestions on hotels, anybody have some great restaurants they can suggest?? Thanks :)

I remember eating at a barbeque place that was really good! And kinda messy…it was on the main st.

Casual: Mo’s BBQ on Monterey
Firestone Grill on Higuera
Woodstock’s Pizza across from Firestone
Splash Cafe on Monterey
Yanagi Sushi on Marsh
Pepe Delgado on Monterey
Big Sky on Broad

Not as casual (but everything is casual in SLO)
Buena Tovola on Monterey
Novo on Higuera
Palazzo Giuseppe on Court
Corner View on Chorro & Marsh
Cafe Roma and The Park both by the railroad station

OK I’ll stop now!

We really like Novo downtown - most or all of their seating is outside in back on big decks overlooking the creek. Koberl at Blue is also really good - more expensive, fine dining kind of place on Monterey. We’ve also been to Splash Cafe, Pepe Delgados and Corner View, all of which I would recommend.

The salmon bisque at Novo is amazing!!! Forgot about Blue. Also nice with a nice bar!
Enjoy!

tri tip sandwich at firestone is a must for a SLO visit.

we were just down there a week ago. People had recommended Novo and Firestones. We went to Friestones and had the tri tip sandwich, and it was FABULOUS!!! Best I have ever had. D got one to go on our way out the next day, which I had too. Gotta go there, it was delicious, plus lots of students there, so it is very fun and upbeat

i went to big sky cafe and firestone. i loved both. firestone was more of a hang out/burger place while big sky was a pretty unique, green-kinda restaurant. Both pluses

Believe it or not… The best place to get a good 4$ tri tip, or 2.99$ double hamburger is at the Cork N’ Bottle on Foothill. So awesome, and affordable. Im going to eat there all the time next year lol

2nd place for me was Firestone

El Neighbor (spelling?) is really really good too. burritos are amazing especially the breakfast burritos.

Firestone is good for a more lively atmosphere and good sandwiches, but if you have the time and money, Oasis is a wonderful Moroccan restaurant in SLO with excellent food.
