Great score; not-so-great breakdown - Seeking advice.

Okay, I’m pretty happy with my overall score (2270). Breakdown: 720 CR; 750 M; 800 W.

Usually on practice exams, I’m hitting the 800 for Maths - so I was a little disappointed with the 750. However, I have gotten an 800 on the Math II Subject exam. Would this compensate for my 750, in the eyes of the admission officers?

I’m applying to Stanford, Duke and some of the more selective Ivy League universities. I’ve heard that many universities don’t place weighting on the Writing score, which is the root of my concern. I my CR+M does not break the 1500 barrier, which was my aim. Will retaking (and assuming I can get a higher Math score) benefit my application? Or is the 800 in Math II enough?

I am an international student from Australia - I can do a retake, but of course, I’d prefer not to with school and all (our Summer holidays are over Dec-Jan). However, if it would benefit my application, then I’m willing to retake in October or November.

Please feel free to share your advice. I would really appreciate it.
