Great Way to Ship Stuff to Your Kids at FSU

This information is going to be mostly for parents who live in Florida whose kids attend Florida State.

We use FedEx Ground for shipments to our daughter at the dorm and off-campus. In Florida, the delivery time is OVERNIGHT for just a few bucks ($4 - 7). This has been a super way to ship goodies like cookies and other things the kids need. The delivery to the FSU dorm is much more reliable than trying to ship to the FSU post office - which can take quite a while.

So, to sum up:

 1. Ship to the dorm (Specify student name, room # and street address on campus of dorm). The front desk at the dorm will call your student to pick up the box or envelope.

Once you get the hang of this FedEx shipment, get an online FedEx account (they’ll tell you at FedEx or do it online at www.FedEx.com ). This way you can generate your own shipping labels and avoid any lines at FedEx.

Kids love to get packages from home. They will get homesick, even though they’re teenagers and know everything.
