greatest SAT improvement

Hey guys...I'm probably going to take the SAT in January but I haven't been studying that much....so I was just wondering...

What's the greatest SAT score improvement that you guys had?

Thanks :)

I myself went from a 2050 (first timed practice test) to a 2400 (fourth timed practice test). On the actual test, I assume I will have a 2360 when results arrive from the November test in a couple weeks.

My first SAT was a 1940. My next one was a 2250.

I haven’t gotten the results back from my third one, but I’m anticipating an increase, at least in my superscore.

How many months did it take all of you??

b/c i’m really nervous that I won’t be able to get above 2300 by the time the test date actually arrives…

LOL you haven’t studied and you expect to get a 2300? Lmao… Good luck with that ;)

2300, lool. Not going to happen unless you already had atleast a 2000 already first time.

I studied hardcore for about a week and I believe I went from 2010 to 2250+. Of course, that’s only based on the answers that the people on these forums got and my estimation of the number of stupid errors I made.

I know this isn’t a huge improvement… But I took the October SAT w/o prep: 1730 hah. I prepped for November and am looking at 1900-2000.

psat: 188 last year
sat: 2180 october 2009

149 psat freshman year.
(with lots of bad prep classes) 1980 sat sopmore year
(expecting) 2200+ sat senior year (with one month of self prep)

DONT TAKE CLASSES SELF PREP IS THE WAY TO GO . I can already see my scores improving drastically after a week of self prep.

^couldnt agree more

Went from a 1750 in my sophmore year, to a 2260 by oct of senior year

1950 -> 2040 -> 2190

I brought my SAT math up from a 450 to a 620, and my overall CR and M from a 1050 to a 1210

154 -> 162 -> 1840 -> 2320

185–> 172 –> 2210

204 Psat -> 2240 Sat -> ??? (I’ll find out in two weeks)

154 -> 162 -> 1840 -> 2320

@swaggerrer—Seriously? 780 points? I find that very hard to believe. I guess anything is possible…

fresh, look at you man. You jumped 800 points…so if I were you I wouldn’t be talking my friend.

psat freshman year: 42 reading, 58 math, 49 writing-149 overall, 1490
