Greek 50

sorry mike, it was a result of my not reading the thread and posting under the influence of anesthesia…oops

D kept the greek 50 thinking she could use it at Julia’s in Tut. She went today and they told her she couldn’t. If she can’t use it there, then I don’t see her using very many meals. Does anyone know for sure that the Meal Plan cannot be used at Julia’s? If not, then I hope it’s not too late to change to the no meal plan for $197.

I believe she can only use Dining Dollars and Bama Cash at Julias. When my DD had the Greek 50 she only used 12 meals! I hope you can change!

I hope we can still change, too! The Dining website said that the last day to change was on the first day of school… I was a bit late and emailed them on Friday to ask for the opt out. I haven’t heard back, but when you call you get a machine that says, “…call volume is too high to accept calls at this time!”

Who did you e-mail? I just used the e-mail for general questions. Mealplans@bamadining.com

That’s the email I used. That is the same one the phone recording said to use.

Thank you! Let me know what they tell you.

Just curious… Does lakeside market take meal plans or only dining dollars and bama cash? Also where specifically in lakeside is it located??

Bama Dining’s site clearly states the meal plan can be used. I’d take issue with it if you cannot.

From the link:

Julia’s Market is a full-service market located in Tutwiler Hall. A wide variety of grocery items, snacks, grab-and-go meals, beverages and health and beauty products are available throughout the day and into the night. Julia’s is now UA’s first full-scale campus market. Meal Plans, Dining Dollars and Bama Cash are accepted.

I wish I could actually speak with someone in dining. I haven’t hear anything back from my email but would be willing to keep the Greek 50 IF Julia’s really did take meal plan card. From what I’ve seen on my D’s account, Julia’s is being deducted from her Dining Dollars, even before she downgraded after rush. Hmmmm…

Did you see the link to the Teleforum for tonight about Bama Dining? I think you must preregister.

While I don’t know for sure, one of my D’s friends who lived in Tut last year mentioned something about using the Meal Plan at Julia’s, but said you could only use it to purchase two fruit cups and a water. I have no idea if this is true.

I would suggest that your daughter visit the Bama Dining office above Lakeside Dining and speak to a person there about the Greek 50/Community Dining Charge.

While searching for something else I came across this and remembered someone had asked a question about the Julia’s Market
