Greek Life at Poly?

Hello so I am a transfer from SBCC, and from what i’ve read its rather hard to make friends as a transfer and I have always wanted to do greek life. Was wondering how hard to is to get into one a transfer and being a junior and if its hard to make friends here? I was reading the Slo confessions on facebook and they were outright depressing hopefully anyone can tell me what their experience has been!

Although I am not part of greek life, I’m quite sure greek life has students of all years rushing at their events. It might be slightly harder as a transfer student to get acclimated, but rest assured that this is one of the most friendly campuses around. Just put yourself out there and it’ll all be good.

As for the confessions page, it’s really outdated and confessions in their own nature aren’t happy usually. No way to sugar coat it, but mental health is a serious problem across all campuses in the US. It’s easy to push it under the rug, but it’s always present. Thankfully, the majority of students live happy, healthy lives here in SLO.
