Greek life at u of t

Hello everyone,
I’m an international student and interested in potentially coming to Canada for my undergraduate education.
My main concern in regard to social life is fraternities and sororities, and how dominant they are on campus. The whole concept is very foreign to me and I don’t think I would fit in at a frat house. I’m worried because I’ve heard greek life is very prevalant at North American colleges.
I’m not only interested in u of t though, I’m thinking of applying to Mcgill and YorkU as well.
Could anyone who has sufficient information tell me how dominant greek life is at these unis? Thanks in advance!

The main source of social life on campus is the residences. I did my undergrad at U of T and never saw evidence of Greek life. My kids attend Canadian universities and they haven’t seen anything either. It’s mainly a US thing.

yes, social life revolves around the residences and activities of your respective college.

Based on our family’s two visits and research, I fully agree with @bouders and @moneyp. The only evidence of Greek life we saw was some greek letters on buildings. While I am familiar with many US colleges that don’t have a significant Greek presence, U of T seems to have even less.
