Greek Life Influence on Gettysburg College Social Life?

Hi. I’ve seen some mixed opinions on Gettysburg’s social scene, varying from tons of options to get involved and be active on campus to having the social and party scene completely dictated by frats. Can any current students, alumni, parents, or really researched accepted/prospective students elaborate on this?

Gettysburg is currently one of my top choices but I do not know how I feel about Greek life, and I know for sure I do not want to join a sorority.

The social scene at Gettysburg is largely driven by Greek life. One does not have to join but you are limiting your choices should you opt out of Greek life. Many students do not join and find other things to do but just know going in that it is very popular and that isn’t going to change.
