hey, i have a qn here regarding greek life in general. what EXACTLY is greek life? the only stuff i've heard is that they party and get drunk. that's about it. is this really the case? do they do anything else besides getting drunk?

That would be incorrect. WashU Greeks are also, as a requirement, very active in meaningful community service projects. Try here: http://glo.wustl.edu/
Students are dissuaded from going Greek if their only goal is getting wasted. My RA this year is a frat brother and spends a significant portion of his time at the frat house working for the chapter.

Don't join ZBT, there are many things parents don't like about it (besides the lower GPA and less community service)

thx for the info! i initially thought there was nothing much to Greek except entertainment... and i couldn't get my hands on more info cuz i'm in asia. really grateful for your reply.

and to cressmom, what's so bad about this ZBT thing that parents don't like? by the way, i have no idea what is ZBT... pls enlighten me, thx!

ZBT is an off-campus fraternity.
