What is the Greek life like on campus? Is it dominant in the social scene? How many students participate?

'Greek life' is a little broad. There are 30 sororities and fraternities. But only a handful of those are actually national fraternities and an even smaller number are actually traditional Panhellenic organizations (only 4 sororities, and I think 4 or 5 frats). The rest are traditionally black and latino organizations with a bunch of independent groups including a few asian/laotian frats and sororities.

That said the general number for involvement is somewhere between 10 and 20% of the student body.

It's not a big deal and the vast majority of kids don't participate and wouldn't know about it if the frats didn't throw some of the better parties.
