Greek Life

I've done my research and according to the collegeboard 11% of guys join fraternities and 31% of girls join sororities. Obviously that's not very high, except when you consider that there are no greek houses on campus. How prevalent are frat parties at Nova? Are they pretty much open, or are they pretty exclusive? Are they free? An answer from a current student would be nice.

The 11% figure for fraternities on campus is definately dated. I am part of a fraternity on campus. Theres over 60 people in my fraternity and most fraternities have about the same or slightly less or more. The greek scene on campus is pretty good because if you want to be a part of it is a lot of fun and theres plenty of social benefits. However the majority of people don't do a fraternity or sorority so that you can definately have a life without doing greek life if you choose that path.
