Greek life is a great way to make friends, but it is not the only way! Here on campus we do have two fraternities and four sororities. I have a lot of friends who are in Greek life and really enjoy it and their "family’ here on campus Marist also has over 80 clubs on campus, so you are able to make friends with similar interests! If you are into Harry Potter, we have a Harry Potter club who just had an event tonight where the members dressed up as students from the movie. Marist is a campus full of different ways to make friends!

I have a lot of friends that are apart of sororities and they love it. They have made a lot of friends through events and activities held by the organization, and they love the sense of community it gives them. They hold a lot of activities for the groups and I know everyone that is apart of it has a great time. Luckily, the Marist Greek life doesn’t restrain you to just your sorority. My friends keep a nice balance of friends inside and outside of their sorority. I personally like the presence of the Greek life here, because it’s present, but definitely not overwhelming.

I also have many friends who participate in greek life! It is a great way to meet new people with both similar or different interests. Many people who do participate in greek life also participate in many clubs and organizations outside of their fraternities or sororities.

There is greek life at Marist. It is not a huge part of the student population but it is there if you want to indulge in it. We have two frats and 4 sororities so definitely enough of a variety to pick from. They do lots of service opportunities around campus as well as do fun activities to help the local community and campus life as a whole.
