Greek (real Greek) Community

How is the authentic Greek community at Brown?

i’m not really sure, but check out Brown at [theU.com Online - College Campus Video Tours, Online Student Reviews and Info about Campus Life](http://www.theu.com).

theU college profiles are often inaccurate and are largely based on school stereotypes (all you need to do is watch a few of them to figure it out).

the greek scene is present but not dominant (like at say, dartmouth).

this is probably the best source of info
[Brown University Greek Council](http://www.brown.edu/Student_Services/Greek_Council/index.html)

all the greek houses are in the wriston quadrangle, right in the middle of campus:

Guys, when he says authentic/real I think he means international students from Greece.

I know two, and they typically hang out with the general European crowd/international crowd at Buxton International House.

I’m not sure if there are enough Greeks to create a separate community.

^^^
lol! i think you’re right. :P

haha yes modestmelody, i mean authentic, from the old country! thanks for the help, i just was wondering if there is a decent amount of Greek people at Brown

i am pretty sure there is a huge great community right outside Philadelphia, by UPenn, but that’s the closest one to Brown I know of

you are greek? im half
when i visited with my dad who is from greece we saw/heard at least 3 different times people speaking greek. it was really weird they were everywhere that day. i think there is also a greek club, at least there was when my dad went there (he’s an alum). he told me he was a founding member of it like back in the 70s haha i dont know about that though.
