Greek system and parties?

I just got accepted to UW today, and I won't lie, my biggest concern about this college is the party scene. I'm not really into the whole sorority/frat thing, and I was wondering how much the Greek system dominates the social scene? Are there a lot of non-Greek partiers? Is there anyone here in a UW sorority who can talk about it? Are there any first-hand accounts of awesome dorms? Which ones are for the stoners? Anything you can tell me will be appreciated...Thanks. =)

lol, for stoners? Anyways, as far as freshman dorms. Lander is definitely the more party-ish friendly dorm, due to it being a freshman only dorm.

Well, just from some experience in the area you can usually find some pretty good parties just in the sorrounding U district. (You can walk or take a bus.) Of late greek row has gotten itself in trouble and has had more than its share of cops and LCBs. Dorms are ofcourse going to be more monitored than private homes.
