I'm going to do a green and white day visit this summer. just wondering what all do you get to do there.

I got an email asking me to volunteer for it the other day. Here’s what it said.

10:30 AM Admissions Presentation
11:00 AM Student Panel
11:30 AM Visitors are released for lunch
12:00 PM Walking tours-North campus
1:30 PM Academic presentations - Student Lunches will be taken on rotation
2:30 PM Academic Sessions Release
3:00 PM Hall tours begin

thanks. but how long are hall tours?

Probably no longer than 30 mins-1 hour…most likely you tour around only 1 dorm (not all of them)

Hmm, might visit myself. Do you think it would be weird if you brought your parents. Like, would that just make things awkward, having them walk around on the tours, eating lunch, etc, with you?

@fa-la-la-lena thanks
@hermione822 no not at all. i would recommend your parents to come. i plan to bring mine.

lots (most) people bring their parents…don’t be worried about that! But it might be fun to go by yourself too, it’s totally up to you

Do you think one of these visits would be beneficial to an already admitted transfer student or is it mainly geared toward potentials? I’ve never visited the school and I’d like to see how it looks before I come in the fall.

The tour they gave was nice and all, but we walked to some places that I didn’t really care about, and didn’t walk to some places I did want to see. It might be in your best interest to go, because, although it is geared towards pulling in possible students, it gives a lot of good information also. I would, however, also walk around campus on your own a bit.

I plan on going to one. Anyone selected a date? It would be cool to meet up with people haha

Bc2015 I might go july 23rd

Sounds good I’ll post here when I find what date I’m going.
