<p>Got in yesterday afternoon and already tried some new restaurants and saw three bands playing live outside last night.<br>
Had pizza at a new place on Monroe serving authentic wood-fired brick oven pizza. It was very good and very fast. Nice addition to the pizza choices. Also had some Madison sushi. I never ate the stuff until I moved to Seattle. It was also very good and even more surprising than the good pizza. Coming from the east I always thought Madison pizza was not very good. Not anymore.</p>
<p>I'm writing this from the newly restored grand reading room at the history library. Best space on campus--and all new awesome computers.</p>
<p>Seeing all the new construction around campus is very impressive but hurts the flow of the campus right now. Guess it will be going on as long as there is money raised. Quite a contrast to U Washington which is pretty quiet right now after a building boom in the 90's.</p>
<p>Anyway it's nice to be back and I'm walking my butt off. Literally.</p>
