Greyhound

has anyone ever tried it? besides the long hours and discomfort is it really all that bad? Also how can i avoid having my luggage stolen? do you recommend it?
Thanks

do i recommend it? no! but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.

I did amtrak a couple times and thats not bad if you dont have tons of luggage

I know people from OH who take the bus, and don't seem to mind that much.

I took Amtrak from Chicago to Philadelphia for fun last winter. The ride was… long…. To say the least, but fun I guess. I still much rather fly. :)

Check out megabus.com
they have straight shot bus rides to say chicago to minneapolis and a bunch of other midwest cities with prices between $1 and about 18$. Its only above 10 bucks if you get your ticket late...they are comfy and cheap as hell.

is megabus.com safe? why is it so cheap? much cheaper than the greyhound...

It’s cheap because there is very little overhead (ticking stations, terminals, etc). The prices are also only very cheap ($1.50) if you get your ticket in advance and not on all busses.

I just got back from chic yesterday on a megabus...my ticket was 40 bucks since i did it two days prior. but if you book it one week in advance or more, then the prices for chic to minneapolis were around 10 dollars, cheaper if you do it even earlier
