Grid in questions vs. MCQ? [Math]

Less than a week till results come out!

I was wondering if for the SAT I Math sections, the grid in questions are somehow worth more than the MCQs? In other words, will I get a lower score if I get a grid-in wrong as opposed to a multiple choice?

And for the December test, how much would I get for 1 wrong on Math? (Expecting a not-so-generous curve..:S)

Thanks in advance. :)

Getting a MC or free-response question right is 1 point. Getting a MC wrong is -.25; missing a free-response question is -0.

Does that mean the free response is actually worth less, in some aspects?

No, it means that missing a free response doesn’t hurt you except in terms of opportunity cost.
