Grinnell and Carleton's English Departments vs. Kenyon's

I think I've narrowed down my choices to Grinnell, Kenyon, and Carleton. I was wondering how comparable the Grinnell and Carleton English departments are to Kenyon's in terms of quality of teaching, internship opportunities for majors, etc.

Has anyone had experience with them?

Since you’re not getting much help here, may I suggest you contact the English Department directly to ask them about internship opportunities and to see if they can put you in touch with any majors. (or ask Admissions or the Career Development office)?

My son has never taken a course in the department (but not because of any impressions – good or bad – of the dept), but I know he was so excited about this project:
<a href=“The Grinnell Beowulf in Digital Grinnell | Grinnell College”>http://www.grinnell.edu/news/grinnell-beowulf-digital-grinnell

Apparently, it is the first translation done by college undergraduates. He is reading it and had it with him at spring break. I think there are some public readings on campus. That is the extent of my personal knowledge of this department though…

Kenyon is known for its strong English department, but Grinnell and Carleton are ranked higher overall.
