Grinnell Fin. Aid Q

Hello.
Alright, I missed the deadlines to apply for financial aid at Grinnell and Carleton. However, this is b/c my mom thought I shouldn't apply in the first place since there is NO WAY I will get money this year. Trust me on this.

However, I was reading and discovered that some schools will not let you reapply for financial aid each year if you do not do so your first year. (My dad died 7 months ago, our situation changed, I understand better than most that things can change quickly) I want to have that option just in case something should change and I find myself eligible for financial aid money. Does anyone know if this is the case at Grinnell and/or Carleton?

I am filling out FAFSA etc. for all of the safety schools I don't want to go to (but will probably end up attending) just in case they have these policies.

I hope this made sense. Thank you for reading.

I searched both of the websites and while they speak about changing financial situations, they don’t mention specifically if you have to apply for FA as a fr to be eligible following years.

I would recommend you email/call the FA office at these schools and ask.
